For our first therapist Thursday introduction, we will be introducing one of our occupational therapists, Gretchen O'Rear, MS, OTR/L, who has worked at Puzzle Piece since 2015! She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of South Alabama (Go Jags!) in 2009. An internship at USA Children's and Women's Hospital is where she gained a love for children of all abilities. She graduated with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Milligan College in Tennessee in 2012. She has a passion for the pediatric population and is grateful to be able to work with children and their families. Gretchen believes every child is unique and brings a special joy and personality into our clinic every day. Their energy and interests is always teaching Gretchen something new. Gretchen also enjoys working as a clinical instructor for occupational therapy graduate students and helping them develop their skills for the pediatric population. Gretchen appreciates being able to collaborate and work alongside Puzzle Piece’s outstanding occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and office managers that make every day full of laughter, excitement, and fun.
Gretchen and her husband, Kent has two energetic little girls, Maddie and Morgan. Gretchen enjoys drinking coffee, reading, being a dance mom, traveling, and eating Kent’s delicious food.
